Role Description This is a contract, on-site Staff Nurse role based at Nova IVF Fertility in Mumbai. The Staff Nurse will provide patient-centered nursing care to individuals undergoing fertility evaluations and treatments, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with procedures such as oocyte retrieval and embryo transfer. The role includes preparing treatment rooms, maintaining sterile techniques, handling and documenting patient records accurately, and coordinating with IVF specialists, embryologists, and other healthcare professionals. The Staff Nurse will educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication protocols, and post-procedure care, while offering empathetic support throughout the fertility journey. The role also involves adherence to clinical protocols, infection control standards, and safety guidelines specific to assisted reproductive technologies.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing qualification (GNM, B.Sc Nursing, or equivalent) and current registration with the appropriate nursing council.
- Experience in IVF, obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive medicine, or related clinical settings.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration, documentation, and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and operating/procedure room assistance.
- Ability to provide patient education, counseling, and emotional support in a sensitive and confidential manner.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical and administrative teams.
- Comfort with using electronic medical records, basic computer applications, and following standardized reporting formats.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, including shifts and weekend duties as required.
- Prior experience in an IVF or ART center in Mumbai or similar metropolitan settings is an advantage.
