**Medical Same Day Emergency Care (MSDEC) Nurse – Band 5**
**Location:**
Frimley Park Hospital
Our Medical Same Day Emergency Care (MSDEC) service provides rapid, same\-day assessment and treatment for patients with urgent or emergency medical conditions. This service helps avoid unnecessary attendance at A\&E and, where appropriate, prevents hospital admission.
**About The Service**
Same Day Emergency Care is a streamlined, one\-stop service designed to assess, investigate, diagnose, and treat patients within a single day. Patients are either safely discharged back to their GP, referred for urgent specialist input, or admitted if clinically required.
**The Role**
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Nurse to join our dedicated team at Frimley Park Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who is eager to learn, develop new skills, and work collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
**Working Pattern**
**This Is a 7\-day Service Operating**
Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 21:00
Saturday and Sunday: 09:00 – 21:00
**Key Responsibilities**
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including Doctors, Nurses, Emergency Care Assistants, and Administrative staff
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within the Ambulatory Emergency Care setting
Deliver high\-quality, patient\-centred care in a fast\-paced environment
Support timely patient flow and safe discharge planning
Main duties of the job
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with minimal supervision
Maintain high standards of patient care at all times
Undertake delegated nursing and administrative duties
Support staff organisation and deployment based on patient needs and competence
Promote and adhere to infection control standards
Use Trust electronic systems to refer patients and coordinate care
Ensure accurate documentation, confidentiality, and compliance with policies
Escalate incidents/complaints appropriately and support team coordination when required
