Job Description
We are looking to recruit Band 5 staff nurses to work within our Critical Care Department to support an enhanced level of care (level 1\) for higher risk elective surgical patients. If you are an interested, motivated and enthusiastic nurse then why not come and join our Team to support our surgical patient pathway. working with the Critical Care Education team to achieve level 1 National Competencies in Enhanced Patient Care. This will strengthen knowledge skill and professional development in caring for acutely ill patients and the early recognition and management of the deteriorating patient. Friendly and supportive workplace You should be a Registered Nurse ideally with acute and/or surgical experience, although this is not an essential requirement for this post. You should have good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and be able to work effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary team. To provide high quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for post operative high risk surgical patients. These patient will require a higher acuity of monitoring, interventions and nursing than required in a standard ward environment. To deliver compassionate person\-centered care, and treat patients, service users, their families and their careers with consideration, dignity and the respect you would want for yourself and your family. To provide relevant forms of care with minimal supervision and participate in the supervision and teaching and assessment of unregistered or junior staff and students. To play an active part in the continuing development of the department and contribute to the maintenance of an environment conductive to the delivery of high standards of patient care, by promoting good communication and relationships between staff, patients relatives and visitors.
