Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Quality Assurance Engineer role based in Karāchi. The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will design, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for web and software applications. Responsibilities include performing manual testing across different environments, documenting defects, and collaborating closely with developers to reproduce, analyze, and resolve issues. The role involves reviewing requirements and specifications for testability, contributing to test strategies, and helping maintain high software quality standards throughout the development lifecycle. The engineer will also participate in regression, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure reliable, performant, and secure releases.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Software Quality, Quality Assurance, and Software Quality Assurance practices and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Manual Testing, including test case design, execution, and defect tracking.
- Basic understanding of Software Development concepts and SDLC to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Familiarity with testing different types of applications (web, API, backend services); exposure to test management and bug-tracking tools.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a structured approach to testing.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting test results and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with basic automation concepts, performance testing, or SQL queries is a plus.
