Software Developer — Syndi
Location: London / Remote or Hybrid
Type: Full-time

Syndi is a UK-based startup modernising the lottery syndicate experience. We are building a trusted, intuitive platform that makes playing the National Lottery more social, transparent and engaging.
Founded by experienced operators with backgrounds at companies including Meta and Google, Syndi is looking for a full-time Software Developer to help build the next phase of the product.
The Role
We are looking for a strong software developer with a genuine
builder mindset
- someone who loves creating, shipping and improving products, not just completing tickets.
You will work across core product areas including onboarding, payments, subscriptions, syndicate management, user accounts, wallet flows and platform reliability.
What You’ll Do
- Build and improve core product features across frontend and backend.
- Work with
Node.js, NestJS and React.js
across the product stack.
- Integrate with third-party services including payments, authentication and analytics.
- Use AI tools effectively to improve development speed, problem-solving and code quality.
- Write clean, reliable and maintainable code.
- Debug production issues and improve performance, reliability and security.
- Communicate progress, blockers and trade-offs clearly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong experience with
Node.js, NestJS and React.js
.
- Quick Learner
- Experience building modern web applications.
- Strong understanding of APIs, databases and cloud-based systems.
- Solid practical understanding of how to use AI tools in software development.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment.
Preferred
- Experience in fintech, payments, e-commerce, subscriptions, gaming, wallets or regulated consumer products would be a strong plus.
- Knowledge / Experience in DevOps especially AWS deployment
