**Job Description**
**About the Role:**
As a Software Engineer on the AI/ML Platform team, your primary objective is to build scalable, reliable, and cost\-effective solutions that power our global measurement products. You will work within an Agile environment to test, develop, and implement quality software, contributing to Nielsen's strategic shift toward modern ML\-driven infrastructures.
**Responsibilities**
* Design and develop robust backend services and reusable components using Python and Java.
* Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to integrate sophisticated methodologies into production build pipelines.
* Implement and optimize AI/ML systems to process large\-scale audience data across Cloud and on\-premises environments.
* Identify and resolve technical incidents to ensure high availability and low latency for AI services.
**Qualifications**
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or Engineering,
* Strong proficiency in Python and Java programming languages.
* Core software engineering excellence, including knowledge of SQL, data structures, and Agile methodologies.
* Understanding of cloud infrastructure like AWS or Google Cloud or Azure.
* Experience with MLOps or Data Engineering (e.g., Airflow, SageMaker, Spark, or CI/CD pipelines) is highly preferred.
* Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and deliver scalable systems.
