**Company Description** Rhino Civils Ltd are an established civil engineering and utilities contractor delivering works across clean water, highways, drainage, roads and sewers. We are looking for a Site Engineer and Site Agent hybrid role to support ongoing works in GL11, Dursley. **Role Description** This is a site based role combining Site Engineering and Site Agent responsibilities. The role would suit either an experienced Site Engineer with management experience, or an ambitious Site Engineer looking to gain management experience with support from our senior management team. The position is available on either a freelance or PAYE basis. PAYE package includes fuel card and car package. Location: GL11, Dursley Start date: Immediate start Project commencement: Mid May Duration: Ongoing works Position: Freelance or PAYE No agencies Salary: £45,000 to £60,000 per year PAYE, dependent on experience, plus fuel card and car package. Freelance: £275 to £350 per day, dependent on experience. For exceptional candidates with strong Site Agent experience, rates can be discussed **Key Responsibilities** • Setting out works accurately using relevant surveying equipment • Managing and coordinating daily site activities • Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and construction details • Supporting labour, plant and subcontractor coordination • Maintaining site records, quality checks and daily reports • Assisting with permits, RAMS, site paperwork and progress updates • Monitoring quality, productivity and site progress • Supporting health and safety standards on site • Liaising with the Project Manager, site teams, subcontractors and clients • Working closely with our senior management team to support project delivery Experience Required • Utilities experience • Roads experience • Sewers and drainage experience • Highway works experience • Excavation and reinstatement experience • Experience working safely around live services • Clean water works experience would be beneficial Essential Requirements • Strong site engineering experience • Management experience would be beneficial, but support will be provided • CSCS card • Good knowledge of setting out equipment • Ability to read and work from drawings • Strong communication and organisational skills • Good understanding of health and safety on civil engineering sites • NRSWA experience would be beneficial • Clean Water card would be beneficial This is a great opportunity for an engineer who wants to develop into a more management focused role while still using their technical engineering experience on site. * To apply or find out more, please contact Mick, Project Manager, on 07407 790026 or email info@rh1no.co.uk
