Site Engineer

Role Purpose The Civil Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing day\-to\-day operations at the construction site, ensuring that projects are executed according to approved plans, specifications, quality standards, safety guidelines, and timelines. The role acts as a vital link between the technical office, contractors, consultants, and site workforce.  Key Accountabilities * Supervise and monitor civil works at the project site including excavation, foundation, concrete, formwork, and finishing works. * Ensure execution of works as per approved drawings, project specifications, and construction schedule. * Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and site staff to ensure smooth progress of activities. * Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of construction materials and workmanship. * Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and submit them to the Senior/Team Leader Engineer. * Assist in resolving technical issues and propose site\-based solutions where necessary. * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on\-site. * Verify quantities and assist in preparing bills of quantities (BOQ), material take\-offs, and site measurements. * Review and interpret construction drawings and shop drawings and ensure they are up to date. * Monitor site logistics, equipment, and manpower availability and coordinate accordingly. * Participate in site meetings and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals. * Maintain accurate site records including material deliveries, work progress, and inspection logs. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge \& Skills * Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent from an accredited university. * Minimum 1 year of experience in civil site engineering within the construction industry. * Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. * Proficient in using engineering software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office. * Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. * Familiarity with site safety practices and quality standards.
