Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer (AWS Focus) to design, build, and scale secure, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud platforms within a FinTech environment. This role will be responsible for developing AWS-native platform capabilities that support modern applications, AI/ML workloads, and enterprise-grade security requirements.The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), platform automation, networking, API management, and AI/ML services such as AWS Bedrock and SageMaker. You will play a key role in establishing cloud standards, optimizing operational efficiency, and enabling engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Platform Architecture

• Design and implement scalable AWS landing zones aligned with security, compliance, and governance standards.
• Develop and maintain multi-account AWS environments using AWS Organizations and Control Tower.
• Build highly available, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud platforms for mission-critical FinTech applications.
• Define cloud architecture standards, best practices, and reusable platform patterns.

AI/ML Platform Enablement

• Design and support AI-ready cloud infrastructure leveraging AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, and related AWS AI services.
• Enable secure deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management of AI/ML workloads.
• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to optimize AI platform performance and scalability.
• Establish governance and security controls for AI model deployment and data access.

Infrastructure as Code \& Automation

• Standardize cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform modules and reusable frameworks.
• Implement infrastructure automation, configuration management, and environment consistency.
• Develop automated deployment pipelines and platform self-service capabilities.
• Manage infrastructure versioning, validation, and governance practices.

API \& Integration Platform Management

• Design, deploy, and manage API platforms using AWS API Gateway and Kong.
• Implement API security, authentication, authorization, throttling, and monitoring standards.
• Support integration patterns for internal and external services across distributed environments.
• Establish API lifecycle management and governance processes.

Networking \& Connectivity

• Architect and manage advanced AWS networking solutions including:

+ VPCs + Transit Gateway + PrivateLink + Route 53 + Load Balancers + Direct Connect + VPN Connectivity

• Optimize network performance, security, and availability across cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot complex networking and connectivity issues.

CI/CD \& DevOps

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Implement deployment automation, release management, and infrastructure delivery workflows.
• Promote DevOps and Platform Engineering best practices across engineering teams.
• Improve developer experience through automation and self-service tooling.

Security, Compliance \& Governance

• Implement cloud security controls aligned with FinTech regulatory requirements.
• Manage IAM, secrets management, encryption, and security monitoring solutions.
• Ensure adherence to governance frameworks and security best practices.
• Conduct security reviews and support audit readiness initiatives.

Cost Optimization \& Operational Excellence

• Monitor and optimize AWS resource utilization and cloud spending.
• Implement FinOps best practices, cost allocation, and optimization strategies.
• Define observability standards using logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
• Drive platform reliability, performance improvements, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevOps roles.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS architecture and operations experience.
• Strong expertise in:

+ AWS Organizations + Control Tower + VPC Networking + Direct Connect + IAM + CloudWatch + Route 53 + EKS/ECS + API Gateway

• Advanced experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience supporting highly regulated environments such as FinTech, Banking, or Financial Services.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, and Generative AI platform services.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
• Knowledge of FinOps methodologies and cloud cost optimization tools.
• Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (EKS).
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or Datadog.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust and cloud-native security architectures.
