Riphah International University is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Senior Lecturer in Physics to join its academic faculty. The successful candidate will bring at least five years of lecturing experience at the university level, backed by an M.Phil qualification from an HEC-recognized institute. This role involves delivering advanced physics lectures, developing and refining curriculum content, and contributing to the academic literature through quality publications. As a senior academic position, excellence in academic writing and a thorough understanding of contemporary physics topics are essential. The candidate is expected to engage effectively with students and peers and uphold the standards of the institution in both teaching and research.
The role does not include team management Responsibilities
but focuses heavily on individual academic contributions and educational leadership within the department. The Senior Lecturer will play a critical role in mentoring students, guiding research projects, and collaborating with faculty members to enhance the department's educational offerings. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver comprehensive lectures and practical sessions in advanced physics topics to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and update physics curriculum in accordance with the latest scientific developments and academic standards.
- Engage in academic research and publish findings in reputable X or Y category HEC-recognized journals to contribute to the scientific community.
- Supervise student research projects and theses, providing guidance and expertise to foster academic growth.
- Prepare and evaluate assessments, assignments, and examinations to measure student progress and understanding accurately.
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees to contribute to policy formulation and curriculum planning.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in physics and integrate this knowledge into coursework and research activities.
- Assist in organizing academic seminars, workshops, and conferences to promote knowledge sharing and professional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary research and support university initiatives in science education.
- Ensure compliance with university standards and policies related to teaching, research, and student engagement.
