Senior DevOps / Systems Engineer (Linux, Docker, CI/CD)

About the Role We are looking for a hands\-on DevOps / Systems Engineer who can build, secure, and scale backend infrastructure from the ground up. This is not a dashboard\-only role — you’ll be working directly with Linux servers, containers, networking, and performance optimization. What You’ll Do * Deploy and manage backend applications on Linux\-based servers * Configure and optimize Nginx / reverse proxies / load balancing * Build and maintain Docker\-based environments * Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines * Monitor systems, analyze logs, and troubleshoot production issues * Secure infrastructure (firewalls, access control, server hardening) * Optimize server performance (CPU, memory, IO, network) * Manage cloud \& dedicated servers (AWS / DigitalOcean / Hetzner / etc.) * Implement backup, recovery, and failover strategies * Document infrastructure and create SOPs for repeatability Required Skills * Strong command over Linux (Ubuntu / CentOS / Debian) * Experience with Docker \& containerized deployments * Solid understanding of Nginx / Apache / reverse proxy setups * Experience with cloud platforms or dedicated servers * Knowledge of networking basics (DNS, ports, SSL, firewalls) * Experience in log analysis \& monitoring tools * Ability to debug real production issues (not just theory) Nice to Have * Kubernetes (basic to intermediate) * CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) * Experience with high\-traffic applications * Security best practices \& server hardening * Scripting (Bash / Python) What We Expect * Ownership mindset — you don’t wait for instructions * Ability to solve problems independently * Clean documentation of your work * Focus on performance, security, and scalability Location * Faisalabad (On\-site preferred)
