Job Description
Position Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: On-site – Gulberg Greens, Islamabad
Working Hours: 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM (Pakistan Standard Time)
Reporting To: Technical Lead / Project Manager Experience Required: Minimum 4+ years
Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that enable the rapid and reliable delivery of our software. The ideal candidate is passionate about automation, scalability, and system reliability.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- Architect, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with a focus on performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Own and manage containerized and orchestrated environments using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE, ECS, etc.).
- Develop and maintain system monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
- Ensure system security and compliance by applying best practices in secrets management, access control, and patching.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline release cycles and improve system resilience. ● Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineer role.
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix-based systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and deploying cloud-native applications.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS, etc.).
