Job Description
**Location:** UK (Hybrid working available, office in London) **The Opportunity** We are working with a **well\-established, global engineering consultancy** looking to expand its UK infrastructure team with the appointment of a **Senior Civil Engineer.** This role sits within a growing **Highways \& Water division** , offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in delivering and developing infrastructure projects across the UK. **The Role** You will take a leading role in the delivery of **highways and water infrastructure projects** , supporting both technical delivery and team development. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to step into a **high\-impact position** within a scaling UK team. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead the design and delivery of **highways and water infrastructure schemes** * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers * Support projects through all stages, from concept through to detailed design * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across infrastructure sectors * Ensure designs are compliant with relevant UK standards and regulations * Engage with clients and stakeholders as required * Support the growth and development of the UK team **Candidate Requirements** * **10–20 years’ experience** in civil engineering * Strong background in **highways and water infrastructure** * Proven experience delivering **UK\-based infrastructure projects** * Strong knowledge of UK design standards (e.g. highways and water frameworks) * Excellent communication and leadership skills **Desirable** * Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards * Consultancy experience * Experience working on large or multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
