Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js, AWS) to work on a contract basis. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services for a high-traffic platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, low-latency solutions in a cloud-native environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and deploy Node.js-based microservices using AWS services.
- Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs with a focus on security and efficiency.
- Lead architectural decisions for cloud infrastructure, including EC2, Lambda, and RDS.
- Monitor system health, debug issues, and implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
Required Skills \& Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Node.js backend development.
- Strong proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation.
- Experience with RESTful and GraphQL API design and implementation.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS).
- Knowledge of databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
- Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team environment.
