The engineering team is lean, senior, and moves fast — decisions happen quickly and your work ships. **The role** We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the customer onboarding squad. You'll own the backend systems that sit at the heart of the customer journey — from initial registration through identity verification, compliance checks, and account activation. This is not a maintenance role. The platform is scaling and there is meaningful greenfield work ahead. **What you'll be doing** * Designing and building scalable backend services in C\# that power the customer onboarding experience * Owning the full lifecycle of features — from architecture decisions through to production * Working closely with product, compliance, and frontend engineers to deliver a seamless onboarding flow * Building integrations with third party KYC, AML, and identity verification providers * Ensuring systems are performant, secure, and reliable at scale on AWS * Contributing to engineering standards, code reviews, and technical direction across the team **What we're looking for** * 5\+ years of backend engineering experience with strong C\# and .NET * Solid AWS experience — comfortable across core services (Lambda, RDS, SQS, S3, API Gateway) * Experience building financial or regulated platforms — fintech, banking, payments or similar * Understanding of KYC, AML, or customer onboarding flows is a strong advantage * Strong fundamentals — microservices, REST APIs, event\-driven architecture * Someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and cares about the quality of what they ship **What's on offer** * Competitive salary — relocation support provided for the right candidate * Visa and housing allowance * The chance to build something that matters in one of the fastest moving fintech markets in the world
