We are looking for an advanced analyst in our India Analytics team who works with the [Guest & Host Analytics team supporting the Global Enterprise Operations function]. The analyst must have functional expertise in building analytical solutions and be a trusted partner to product teams and business leaders, across marketplace teams through providing insights, recommendations, and enabling data driven decisions. This role will sit under the Advanced Analytics family and support Business leaders within our [Global Enterprise Operations] organization. This role sits at the intersection of Sales, Enterprise Operations, Data Science, and Finance, and is expected to drive decision-making and automation, not just reporting.
The Difference You Will Make:
- Identify and solve complex business problems across the host and supply ecosystem by leveraging data, experimentation, and AI/ML techniques — moving beyond reporting to build scalable analytical solutions (e.g., funnel optimization, segmentation, and conversion improvement).
- Work with Sales and Revenue Operations, Data Engineering, Finance and other cross functional teams to develop robust insights, create data narratives and leverage Airbnb’s rich data to define metrics.

- Leverage Airbnb’s state-of-art machine learning infrastructure, and other central data science tools to build and collaborate with a strong team of engineers, product managers, designers and operation agents to achieve shared, cross-functional goals.
- You have a strong sense of urgency for and commitment to Airbnb’s mission of belonging.
- Develop a deep understanding of how hosts interact with our [Sales & Business] teams and platform and how we can manage our risk while meeting our regulatory compliance requirements, through structured and unstructured data sources.
- Actively build and scale AI-first analytics capabilities by integrating LLMs, agent-based workflows, and automation into day-to-day analytical processes
- Experiment with and productionize applied AI use cases (e.g., prompt engineering, retrieval-based systems, workflow automation) to improve speed, quality, and depth of insights
- Drive adoption of AI tools across teams by embedding them into business workflows, enabling self-serve analytics and decision support
- Stay at the forefront of applied AI developments and continuously evaluate their relevance for solving business problems
A Typical Day:
- Partner closely with Sales Operations leaders, Revenue Operations managers, Finance, Data Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical approaches. Independently scope problems, break them down into actionable components, and drive end-to-end execution — from problem definition and data extraction to analysis, insights, and business recommendations.
- Execute projects with regular direction; Set a roadmap for projects up to a quarter ahead providing constant updates to business stakeholders, analytics management and deliver against agreed timelines.
- Perform data modeling for the various entities involved in Airbnb including customers, hosts, cases, agents, and others using modern data modeling tools and frameworks to provide the analytical foundation of Airbnb’s [Guest & Host Analytics] positions.
- Execute ad-hoc reporting, data investigations, and root cause analysis into various operational areas including policy incubation, enforcement efficacy, prevalence, efficiency, agent tooling, agent staffing & optimization, and agent quality & efficiency to identify and solve for operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Influence data-driven decisions across global sites and business verticals in day-to-day via business reviews, self-serve portal, planning scorecards, and impact analyses among others.
- Experiment with new Airbnb policy / product features to help deter and mitigate risk
- Influence machine learning models in partnership with DS / Engg teams to automate policy enforcement decisions, while enqueueing the most complex cases for manual review by agents
- Use AI-assisted tools and agent-based workflows to automate recurring analysis, reporting, and operational decision-support systems.
- Prototype and build internal analytics tools or automation solutions that improve productivity for Sales, Operations, and Support teams.
Your Expertise:
- 5+ years of experience in analytics/data science with a strong track record of solving ambiguous business problems and driving measurable impact
- Proven ability to own end-to-end data projects — from problem scoping and data extraction to analysis, insight generation (including BI tools), and business recommendations
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong programming skills in Python (or R), with experience working on large-scale data systems (e.g., Presto, Hive, Spark)
- Strong foundation in statistical analysis and machine learning, including EDA, hypothesis testing, experimentation (A/B and multivariate), model evaluation, and the ability to apply appropriate techniques in business contexts
- Hands-on experience applying machine learning techniques using Python libraries (e.g., scikit-learn) or AutoML tools
- Applied experience using LLMs and machine learning (prompt engineering, API integrations, model evaluation, AutoML, retrieval-based systems) to build AI-enabled analytical solutions, including designing agentic and multi-agent workflows to solve complex business problems and drive decision-making
- Understanding of model explainability, responsible AI principles, and bias mitigation
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently structure ambiguous problems and drive execution
- Self-starter mindset with high ownership and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear business insights
