Senior Accounting Manager

**Title:** Senior Manager, Accounting **Company Information:** Publicly Held, Global, Medical Technology/Life Sciences Our client, a rapidly growing \& publicy held Med Tech/Life Sciences company is looking to hire a Senior Accounting Manager to grow and develop their team. Reporting into the Assistant Controller, this person will work directly with leadership, drive process improvement initatives, and be a key player. ***This is a primarily remote position with occasional office visits.*** This position serves as a senior leader within corporate accounting, supporting a rapidly expanding public company. The individual will play a central role in financial reporting, helping ensure accuracy and timeliness during the close process while focusing on complex estimates and analytical review. Reporting to senior accounting leadership, this role also drives process enhancements and oversees initiatives that impact the broader finance organization. Core Responsibilities Financial Reporting \& Close Activities * Oversee key aspects of the monthly and quarterly close, including review of journal entries and account reconciliations. * Evaluate and analyze complex accounting areas to ensure proper treatment and accuracy. * Perform detailed variance analysis and communicate meaningful insights to business stakeholders. * Prepare reporting materials for senior leadership and audit committee review. * Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly and annual audits, ensuring deadlines and documentation requirements are met. **Business Partnership \& Revenue Recognition** * Collaborate with FP\&A and operational teams to assess transactions and confirm appropriate accounting treatment. * Work closely with international leadership, including Canadian operations, to support proper revenue recognition practices. **Process Improvement \& Strategic Projects** * Identify opportunities to enhance financial and operational processes across the organization. * Lead and support initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, particularly around the financial close cycle. * Take ownership of accounting considerations in cross\-functional and company\-wide projects. * Partner across departments to design, implement, and strengthen processes and internal controls. * Support rollout and maintenance of procedures tied to new business initiatives. * Contribute to ongoing projects and organizational priorities as needed. **Team Leadership** * Supervise and develop a small team of senior accountants. * Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance guidance to support career growth and skill development. **Compliance \& Controls** * Ensure adherence to internal control requirements related to financial reporting. * Oversee proper execution and assignment of SOX controls within the team to maintain compliance standards.
