We focus on applications including inspections, security, inventory management, environmental monitoring, border control, land surveys, and precision agriculture improving crop yields. **Position Summary:** ZenaTech, Inc. is hiring a Senior Accountant responsible for maintaining and analyzing an organization's financial records. They will handle essential accounting functions, such as preparing financial statements, consolidating books, standardizing records of various Canadian subsidiaries, reconciling accounts, and assisting the CFO with financial reporting needs. They will ensure consistency of financial records across our platform companies, accuracy, compliance with regulations, and support in the decision\-making processes. Having an active CPA is mandatory. Ability to seamlessly travel to the US is a plus but not mandatory. **Key Responsibilities:** * Maintain monthly bookkeeping for multiple companies using Quickbooks and other accounting softwares * Drive month\-end close activities, review monthly financial reports for accuracy and tax readiness, general ledger reconciliations\-as well as intercompany reconciliations. * Maintain strict compliance with various provincial tax and compliance processes. * Independently deliver HST, GST, Payroll tax reports and various provincial tax and compliance reports * Accurately manage bank/credit card reconciliations, AP, AR, and payroll entries * Manage the creation and maintenance of customer and vendor records within the accounting system. * Coordinate with the CFO on approving baking transactions, vendor invoices for payment and/or processing payments. * Standardize, build processes, and maintain company records, SOPs, and internal notes up to date. * Assisting the CFO and the finance team with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits. * Act as a liaison between acquired companies and internal teams to ensure smooth accounting functions, record\-keeping and issue resolution * Other responsibilities within the Accounting and Finance Team. **Qualifications:** * **CPA designation (mandatory)** * **Having minimum 5\-7 years of experience in finance, and accounting roles.** * Thorough understanding of GAAP and internal control and regulatory compliance * Commendable experience with Canadian tax compliance, including Ontario, Québec, and British Columbia corporate, payroll, and sales tax requirements * Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field or the equivalent combination of education, and/or experience directly related to the position. * Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to the United States as required (requirement is very little in order to meet the CFO and the broader finance team in Chicago) **Core Competencies:** * Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in finance and accounting tasks. * Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with colleagues. * Ability to prioritize, work independently, take initiative, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision. * Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in response to evolving priorities and constructive feedback. **Why Join Us?** Opportunity to work on cutting\-edge drone technology and AI\-driven innovations in a fast growth company with outstanding personal growth potential.
