Senior Accountant

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail\-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage financial operations efficiently in a fast\-paced environment. Key Responsibilities (Duties \& Tasks): \- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger \- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements \- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies \- Handle VAT filing and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations \- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities \- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions \- Ensure compliance with IFRS and company financial policies \- Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes \- Maintain proper documentation and accounting records \- Improve and streamline accounting processes and internal controls Requirements \& Qualifications: \- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field \- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) is a strong advantage \- 5–7 years of proven experience in accounting (preferably in UAE) \- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations \- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems) \- Advanced Excel skills \- Excellent attention to detail and problem\-solving skills \- Strong communication and organizational abilities \- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
