Our client, a highly respected aerospace manufacturing company in Colchester, CT, is seeking an experienced
Senior Accountant
to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with manufacturing experience who is looking to take ownership of key accounting functions within a stable and successful organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced accounting functions in a manufacturing environment
- Examine, verify, and code accounting entries
- Identify and correct accounting discrepancies, errors, and omissions
- Manage month-end close activities, including:
+ Journal entries + Bank reconciliations + Financial statement preparation
- Maintain accounting records and process weekly payroll and 401(k) activities
- Assist with audits and financial reporting
- Supervise and provide guidance to accounting support staff
- Analyze financial data and make recommendations to management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting (Accounting preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of Senior Accountant experience
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Manufacturing accounting experience required
- Aerospace manufacturing experience highly preferred
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, dependable, and willing to work overtime as needed
Compensation \& Benefits
- Competitive salary: $85,000 - $90,000

Schedule
First Shift Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Overtime available on Fridays as needed
