Senior Accountant

On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Dubai.

This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong experience in accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, reconciliations, and compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the finance function and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including bookkeeping, journal entries, receipts, and payments
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial and sales reports
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Perform bank, AP, and AR reconciliations
• Support cash flow management, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Conduct debtor ageing analysis and maintain vendor records
• Ensure VAT and tax compliance, including tax computations and reporting
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Support internal and external audits and maintain audit-ready documentation
• Liaise with banks, clients, and relevant stakeholders as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
• ACCA or CA qualification will be an added advantage
• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, financial reporting, reconciliations, VAT, and taxation
• Advanced Excel skills are essential
• Zoho experience is preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Arabic language skills are desirable but not mandatory
