Senior Accountant

🔑 Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting \& P\&L Oversight:
- Deliver timely financial reporting and deep-dive analysis for senior management to drive smarter, data-backed business decisions.
- Maintain dynamic oversight of the P\&L in a complex operational landscape.

Month-End \& Quarter-End Close:
- Prepare and post accurate journal entries (accruals, reclassifications, and adjustments) strictly adhering to deadlines.

Process Improvement \& Automation:
- Evaluate process integrity, identify bottlenecks, and actively develop/implement automated solutions to streamline workflows.

Core Accounting \& Compliance:
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations across multi-entity or high-volume accounts.
- Manage timely and accurate HST tax remittance and compliance.
🎯 What We’re Looking For
- Experience:
5+ years of hands-on, full-cycle accounting experience, ideally in a fast-paced or complex business environment.
- Education \& Credentials:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation or working toward it is a strong asset). *
Technical \& Process Skills:
- Proven track record of automating manual processes and improving financial systems.
- Deep understanding of accrual accounting, P\&L management, and Canadian tax compliance (HST).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Macros/Power Query preferred) and modern ERP systems.
- Mindset:
Strong analytical acumen, sharp attention to detail, and the confidence to communicate insights directly to executive leadership.
