Senior Accountant (Onsite, Lahore, PKR Salary)

****Requirements:**** * CA or ACCA\-qualified accountant. * 4\-5 years of experience working remotely with a UK\-based accounting firm. * Proven proficiency in accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, Sage Business Cloud, Sage Line 50, VTT\+, and TaxCalc. * Experience in data migration from Sage Business Cloud to Xero is a plus. * Strong understanding of VAT, accounting principles, and UK tax regulations. * Excellent analytical and problem\-solving skills, with a meticulous eye for detail. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff. * A proactive and results\-oriented team player with a positive attitude. * Experience using video conferencing and collaboration tools for remote work is a plus ****Responsibilities:**** * Process financial transactions, maintain general ledger accuracy, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable. * Prepare value\-added tax (VAT) returns, manage VAT calculations, and assist in the preparation of financial statements. * Collaborate with the tax team to prepare accurate and timely corporate and individual tax returns. * Review and mentor junior staff on accounting processes, VAT calculations, and tax return preparation. * Assist in the creation of financial reports, analyse trends, and provide insights to management. * Maintain a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and relevant industry best practices.
