Senior Accountant – About The R**

  • oleThe successful Senior Accountant will play a key role in the month-end close process for the EMEA region, helping to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across a complex, international finance functi
  • on.This role will be responsible for ensuring financial statements are accurate and free from material misstatement, while supporting compliance with local accounting standards, US GAAP and IFRS. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across Finance, Financial Reporting, FP\&A, Accounting Operations, Shared Services and wider business functio

Key responsibilities will incl**

  • ude:Preparing analysis and reconciliations for higher-risk and complex accounting areas, ensuring any discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely man
  • ner.Preparing journal entries for designated complex areas, including revenue recognition, cost of goods sold and other technical accounting ar
  • eas.Reviewing journals and reconciliations prepared by shared service teams and/or other accountants, ensuring accuracy, appropriate documentation and a clear audit tr
  • ail.Supporting and overseeing elements of the EMEA general ledger close, including journals, reconciliations, statutory reporting and month-end revi
  • ews.Coordinating with other departments, including Treasury, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Finance, HR and Payroll, to ensure accurate accounting and report
  • ing.Assisting with annual audits and statutory financial statements for EMEA entities, including coordinating support, responding to audit queries and resolving issues identif
  • ied.Preparing, reviewing and analysing financial statements to ensure accuracy and completen
  • ess.Supporting cross-functional finance projects, including systems-related work, process improvement and post-implementation activ

**ity.

The successful Senior Accountant will**

  • have:Qualified Accountant status, ideally ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years’ progressive accounting exper
  • ience.A thorough understanding of the differences between US GAAP and
  • IFRS.Experience working within a complex, international or multi-entity finance environment, ideally with EMEA exp
  • osure.Prior experience with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365, although experience with similar systems will also be consi
  • dered.Strong month-end close experience, including journals, reconciliations, variance analysis and financial statement r
  • eview.Experience of complex accounting areas, such as revenue recognition, cost of goods sold or similar technical reporting
  • areas.Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and problem
  • solve.Proven ability to leverage technology to drive process efficiency and improve acc
  • uracy.Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, V-lookups and other relevant func

tions.
