Recognized as a TOP 100 Fleet carrier, HAP expanded its capabilities with the 2023 acquisition of Westran Intermodal and Westran Portside Terminal Limited. **Role Description** We are seeking a qualified Senior Accountant for a full\-time, on\-site position located in Delta, BC. The Senior Accountant will manage day\-to\-day financial operations, including maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing financial statements, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role involves financial planning, budgeting, reconciliations, and collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate reporting and efficient processes. The successful candidate will provide insights to support financial decision\-making and assist with audits and tax reporting as needed. **Qualifications** * Proficiency in financial reporting, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation. * Strong understanding of budgeting and financial planning processes, as well as reconciling accounts and analyzing financial data. * Hands\-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and regulatory compliance within the accounting function. * Proficient in accounting software and tools such as ERP systems, spreadsheets, and financial analysis software. * Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast\-paced environment. * Strong written and verbal communication abilities for collaboration with cross\-functional teams. * CPA designation is not mandatory or International accounting equivalent with 3\-5 year work experience with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is an asset. * 100 % on site role Monday to Friday
