About ACG Systems
ACG Systems is a growing communications systems integrator serving federal, defense, and commercial customers, backed by long-term capital. We're scaling — including through acquisition — and our finance team is central to keeping our portfolio on track and profitable. We're hiring a Senior Accountant to own accounting across an active, multi-entity portfolio. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on variety, moves quickly, and wants real ownership.
Role \& Responsibilities
- Own revenue recognition and accounting across the business — point-in-time product revenue and over-time services and integration work
- Prepare and review monthly close entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Apply ASC 606 across the revenue mix, including percentage-of-completion and WIP schedules where applicable
- Partner with project managers to monitor contract performance, billings, and margin
- Support consolidations across multiple entities, including intercompany eliminations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis • Assist with audits, compliance filings, and ad hoc analysis

- Use AI tools and automation to make reporting faster and more accurate
Experience
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally across a mix of product and project/contract revenue
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress toward CPA a plus)
- Working knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition; percentage-of-completion experience a plus
- Experience with consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and multi-entity reporting
- Advanced Excel — pivot tables, models, and complex formulas are second nature
- Comfort using AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) to boost productivity
- Strong communication — you can explain results clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to juggle priorities and deadlines without dropping the ball
Nice to Have
- Experience at a systems integrator or project-driven business
- Federal government contractor or defense industry exposure
- NetSuite (or comparable ERP) experience, ideally through an implementation
