Learning Specialist (SEN Teacher) : KS3

Location: Hinckley Salary Scale: GBP32,916 : GBP45,352 (Commensurate with M1 : M6) Type: Permanent, 40 Hours per Week (Term Time)

The Mission

Do you believe that the best learning happens when a student feels safe, understood, and inspired? We are looking for a KS3 SEN Teacher who is ready to step away from traditional constraints and into a role where creativity and compassion are your most important tools.

Based in Hinckley, you will work with a vibrant group of learners aged 7:19. Our mission is simple but profound: to help young people re:engage with education by building a curriculum around them, rather than forcing them to fit a mold.

A Different Kind of Teaching

Forget the 30:student lecture. Here, you will focus on small groups and 1:1 interventions, allowing you to actually see the impact of your work in real:time.

Diverse Curriculum: Youll lead sessions in Maths and English, but youll also dive into life:skills subjects like Cooking, PSHE, and Preparation for Adulthood (PFA).

Multi:Sensory Approach: In collaboration with our Site Lead Teachers, you will craft innovative, hands:on learning experiences that satisfy individual EHCP requirements.

Emotional and Academic Growth: Your goal is to balance academic progress with social and emotional resilience, ensuring every student feels empowered to reach their full potential.

Professional Collaboration: You will be a key part of the support network, working with Learning Managers to maintain accurate profiles, track milestones, and report on student transitions.

Who You Are

We are looking for a reflective practitioner who views teaching as a relational craft.

Qualified and Capable: You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant Level 6 qualification.

SEN Mindset: You have a deep understanding of (or a strong desire to master) the nuances of SEN teaching and learner:centred practice.

Exceptional Communicator: You can build bridges with families and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Adaptable: You thrive in a flexible environment where no two days:and no two students:are the same.

Why This Role?

You will be joining a supportive, visionary team that believes every child deserves a champion. This is an environment where your professional development is prioritised, your creative ideas are encouraged, and your work directly changes the trajectory of a young persons life.
