**POSITION TITLE:** Director of Sales West **REPORTS TO:** Vice President of Sales \- Grocery **LOCATION:** Remote, living in Western part of US, ideally in California or Arizona, within 45 minutes from a major airport. **COMPANY DESCRIPTION** : West Madison Foods was formed in July 2023 following the Private Equity Firm, Brynwood Partners’, purchase of the Ventura Food’s Dips and Dressing Portfolio. These brands include Marie’s Refrigerated Salad Dressings and Dips and Dean’s Dairy Dips. West Madison Foods is a private equity “start\-up” business with iconic brands, a strong retail presence, and outstanding manufacturing capabilities. **POSITION DESCRIPTION** : The Director of Sales West is a key leader within the Sales organization responsible for growing the business and managing financial investments to meet business goals across customers in the West. This role involves developing sales strategies, delivering plans within budget, leading customer sales calls, managing broker partners, and building internal and external relationships to achieve results. The Director of Sales West should be highly motivated, an excellent communicator and able to thrive in a fast\-paced environment. This role requires a self\-starter who can manage all aspects of customer engagements and constantly seeks opportunities to drive growth and overcome challenges. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: create and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets within the Western region. * Customer Relationship Management: establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction. * Budget Management: manage the sales budget effectively, ensuring that all sales activities are within the allocated budget and financial goals are met. * Sales Planning: develop and oversee sales plans, including forecasting, setting sales targets, and tracking performance metrics. * Broker Management: manage and collaborate with broker partners to drive sales and achieve business objectives. * Sales Presentations: lead sales presentations and negotiations with key customers, showcasing product offerings and value propositions. * Cross\-functional Collaboration: work closely with other departments, including marketing, finance, and supply planning, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives. * Reporting and Analysis: track sales performance through available sales reports, analyze trends and provide insights and recommendations to grow the business profitably. * Tool Utilization: utilize company sales reporting tools to evaluate and track progress plus TPM system to manage all promotional and deduction activity including forecasting and tracking against actual spend. **QUALIFICATIONS** * Education: Bachelor’s degree. * Experience: Minimum of 8\-10 years of sales experience in the CPG industry, with at least 3\-5 years in a leadership role. * Strong leadership and team management skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. * Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies. * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills. * Proficiency in sales forecasting and budgeting. * Experience with TPM software and sales analytics tools. * Highly motivated and results\-driven. * Ability to work in a fast\-paced and dynamic environment. * Strong negotiation and presentation skills. * Self\-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities. * Willingness to travel the West to meet with customers as needed
