Research Scientist

**Job Description** The Research Scientist job is to manage/conduct research projects and put the effort to secure research funding. Also research scientists conduct/support other departments in consultancy studies, training and academic programs. **Responsibilities** **Core Responsibilities** * Prepare and submit research proposals along with scope, budgets, and other background information funding entities internal and external. * Manage/Execute research projects and consultancy studies. * Support Training and Academic departments in their respective courses. * Prepare and submit consultancy studies proposals in lieu with other Abu Dhabi Ports entities. * Support in maintaining research assets along with asset specialists. * Prepare research/consultancy plan needs in terms of equipment, consumables, and temporary hiring. * Provide training as needed to graduate students. * Support the Director as required * Maintain records of progress and co\-ordinate reporting to interested parties * Contribute to internal and external workshops/research updates/ conferences as needed. * Develop and maintain and co\-ordinate effective industrial links * Organize and participate in relevant industrial visits if required **People Management Responsibilities** * Manage students and research support staff in executing research projects. * Manage partner entities in executing research projects. **Strategic Responsibilities** * Contribute to the development of a strategic plan to the Academy * Support driving academic innovation, including the integration of new technologies and pedagogical approaches. * Builds relationships with external stakeholders (alumni, donors, industry partners, accrediting bodies) to advance the institution’s academic reputation and resources. **Qualifications** Educational and Technical Qualifications: * A master's degree (MSc or equivalent) in a relevant discipline Language Skills: * Excellent English \& Preferable Arabic Years of Experience: * Minimum 8 years of relevant experience Nature of Experience: * Relevant to underlining functions.
