The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full\-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high\-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns. A Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse is a highly skilled healthcare professional dedicated to providing specialized, life\-saving care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents. Working in a fast\-paced and high\-acuity environment, PICU nurses monitor complex conditions, operate advanced life\-support equipment, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care. **Responsibilities** * Provide comprehensive, high\-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in accordance with established clinical standards and protocols * Continuously monitor and assess patients’ vital signs, neurological status, and overall condition, promptly identifying and responding to changes * Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced life support interventions, including ventilation and cardiac monitoring * Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans * Operate and manage specialized medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and monitoring systems * Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress * Support and educate patients’ families, providing clear communication and emotional reassurance during critical situations * Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards to ensure a safe clinical environment **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) * Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant regulatory body (e.g., DOH/DHA/MOH) * Minimum of 2\-3 years of recent experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit or critical care setting
