Staff Nurse – Operation Theatre (OT)
Job Description:
KJK Hospital is inviting applications from experienced Staff Nurses to join our Operation Theatre team. The role involves providing safe, high‑quality nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery, while working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and fellow OT staff to ensure smooth procedures and excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for surgery and provide perioperative nursing care in the OT.
- Set up and maintain a sterile OT environment, including instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist surgeons and anaesthetists as scrub and circulating nurse during minor and major surgeries.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and document nursing care accurately throughout the surgical process.
- Follow hospital protocols for infection control, patient safety, and OT documentation.
Qualifications:
- GNM / BSc Nursing with valid registration (mandatory).
- Minimum 3 years of dedicated OT experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, OT equipment, and perioperative nursing practices.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
