We are seeking a Registered Nurse \- Inpatient with a strong Medical‑Surgical nursing background to provide safe, high‑quality, and patient‑centred care within an inpatient setting. The role is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care based on evidence‑based practice, effective clinical judgment, and continuous patient assessment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes while adhering to Department of Health (DOH) regulations and organizational policies in a fast‑paced hospital environment.
**Responsibilities**
* Perform comprehensive initial and ongoing patient assessments, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized nursing care plans in line with evidence‑based medical‑surgical practice.
* Deliver direct nursing care to acute medical‑surgical inpatients, including close clinical monitoring, early recognition of patient deterioration, and timely escalation of care.
* Safely administer and manage medications and IV therapies, ensuring accurate dosage calculations and adherence to hospital policies and clinical protocols.
* Assist physicians during medical and specialized procedures, while providing post‑procedure monitoring and nursing interventions.
* Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation using electronic medical record systems to ensure continuity and quality of care.
* Collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to prioritize patient needs, coordinate treatment plans, and support efficient inpatient care delivery.
* Provide patient and family education throughout the admission and discharge process, promoting recovery, safety, and prevention of complications.
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (or equivalent recognized qualification)
* Minimum 3 years recent experience in a Medical‑Surgical inpatient ward
* Valid DOH Registered Nurse license
* BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
* Strong patient assessment, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills
* Proficient in electronic medical records and clinical documentation
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced inpatient environment
* Willingness to work rotating shifts
