Regional Sales Manager – West Region (California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Utah)

Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven and entrepreneurial Regional Sales Manager to lead the growth and market expansion of our beverage portfolio throughout the Western region. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, driving revenue growth, expanding distribution, and building strong relationships with key retail and distributor partners.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated sales leader with a proven track record of delivering results within the beverage or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. This individual will play a critical role in accelerating brand growth by securing new business opportunities, maximizing existing customer relationships, and influencing distributor and broker partners to achieve sales and market share objectives.

Key Responsibilities

· Collaborate with distributor and broker retail partners to secure shelf placement, promotional calendars/displays, with all our retail customers/partners.

· Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue, distribution, and market share objectives across the assigned territory.

· Drive sales growth across all retail channels, including Grocery, Natural, Mass, Club, Drug, Convenience, and independent accounts.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with national, regional, and independent retailers, as well as distributor partners throughout the region.

· Identify and secure new distribution opportunities while expanding existing customer partnerships.

· Manage and optimize broker relationships to ensure alignment with company sales objectives and execution standards.

· Conduct regular market visits to open new accounts, strengthen customer relationships, and provide hands-on sales leadership in the field.

· Train, educate, and motivate distributor sales teams on brand positioning, product knowledge, and sales strategies.

· Develop and execute annual customer business plans, promotional calendars, and growth initiatives that increase distribution, shelf space, and market share.

· Analyze customer performance, market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.

· Lead distributor business reviews and sales meetings to ensure accountability, alignment, and execution excellence.

· Serve as a trusted business partner to customers, distributors, brokers, and internal stakeholders to support long-term business growth.

· Travel extensively throughout the region to conduct in-person customer meetings, distributor visits, market work, and industry events.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree preferred.

· Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience within the beverage, food, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.

· Demonstrated success developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion.

· Proven ability to build, manage, and influence distributor, broker, and retailer relationships at multiple organizational levels.

· Strong leadership skills with experience managing, motivating, and developing high-performing sales teams.

· Ability to effectively influence distributor sales organizations and secure a disproportionate share of attention, resources, and execution.

· Established industry relationships and the ability to quickly generate business results within the assigned territory.

· Experience in creating customer business plans, promotional programs, and account growth strategies.

· Strong analytical and business acumen with experience utilizing retail and sales data to drive decision-making.

· Working knowledge of sales and retail management platforms including NetSuite, SPINS, VIP, CRM, iDig, retailer portals, and related reporting tools.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

· Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
