- As a Regional Sales Director, you are expected to maintain Grand Prairie’s Core Values in all communications with employees, visitors, and outside service providers.
Role
The purpose of the role of the Regional Sales Director is to oversee all sales activity in assigned accounts and regions to ensure sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Present and sell company products and services to current and potential new clients
- Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
- Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
- Establish and maintain relationships/partnerships with Distribution Partners within region
- Establish, maintain, lead our relationships and partnerships with all Broker Partners within region
- Establish, maintain our relationship and partnership with GPO groups within region
- Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
- Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts
- Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
- Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
- Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services
- Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up
- Identify and resolve client concerns
- Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
- Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales
- Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events
- Support SQF programs and initiatives
- Have a basic understanding of specifications, food safety and food quality as it pertains to their daily tasks
Education \& Training Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred
Work Experience Requirements
- 7+ years in in outside sales experience
- Must have valid state Driver’s License
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Flexible schedule needed to accommodate client and customer needs
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time to current and potential clients including some overnight travel
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and phone
