Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Islāmābād, Pakistan. The Quantity Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and tender documentation for residential and commercial developments. The role includes monitoring project budgets, tracking expenditures, and preparing regular cost reports to support informed decision-making. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to manage contracts, evaluate variations, and ensure cost efficiency throughout the construction cycle. The position also involves supporting value engineering initiatives, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with internal policies, local regulations, and client requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs, with the ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications accurately.
- Proficiency in cost planning and cost management, including budgeting, forecasting, and value engineering for construction projects.
- Experience in cost control and cost reporting, including monitoring expenditures, tracking variances, and preparing periodic financial summaries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with construction contracts, tendering processes, and local building standards and regulations.
- Competence in relevant QS and project management software, spreadsheets, and documentation tools.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Previous experience in real estate development or large-scale construction projects in Pakistan is an advantage.
