Rehman Construction \& Interiors Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Civil Engineer with a strong background in cost estimation and construction project management. The ideal candidate has at least five years of relevant experience and possesses comprehensive skills in quantity takeoff, rate analysis, project scheduling, and site supervision. This role demands a professional capable of preparing accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for both civil and interior works while ensuring alignment with project scopes and client expectations. The candidate will oversee cost control measures, collaborate closely with project teams, and lead a team of five members to drive successful project delivery within budget and timeline.

The Quantity Surveyor/Civil Engineer will be responsible for managing project budgets, analyzing design drawings, and verifying quantities on-site to ensure compliance with standards and specifications. Effective coordination with architects, contractors, and suppliers is essential to resolve cost-related challenges proactively. This position also involves supporting tender preparation, reviewing supplier quotes, and assisting in contract negotiations to secure favorable financial outcomes. The role suits a results-driven individual capable of leading and mentoring their team while delivering high-quality documentation and progress reports to facilitate efficient project monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for interior and renovation projects, ensuring precision and completeness.
  • Analyze project drawings and specifications to estimate material quantities and requirements accurately.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction market rates for civil and interior works to deliver competitive cost estimates.
  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates and budgets aligned with client expectations and project scope.
  • Monitor project expenditures through rigorous cost control activities to minimize budget overruns.
  • Coordinate effectively with project managers, architects, and contractors to quickly resolve cost-related issues.
  • Lead and manage a team of five members by delegating tasks, providing technical guidance, and evaluating their performance to ensure productivity.
  • Collaborate on the preparation of tender documentation, including bills of quantities and contract conditions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Review and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitiveness, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements.
  • Generate regular progress reports and maintain project documentation to support project monitoring and financial tracking.
  • Conduct site visits to verify estimated quantities, assess quality standards, and monitor adherence to project specifications.
  • Support negotiation processes with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable financial terms and maintain project profitability.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with company standards and relevant industry regulations.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting interim payment applications and final account settlements in an accurate and timely manner.
