Project Engineer — Real Estate Development

About the role
Wujod Real Estate Development LLC is looking for a Project Engineer to support delivery of our development projects from design through construction to handover. This is a developer-side role — you'll be acting on our behalf to keep consultants and contractors aligned with approved drawings, program, budget, and UAE regulatory requirements.
What you'll be doing
*Project Delivery \& Coordination*
- Monitor site progress against the approved program and report deviations with recovery proposals
- Review consultant drawings, specifications, and technical submittals for compliance and constructability
- Coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP packages to resolve clashes prior to construction
- Process and track RFIs, technical queries, and design change requests
*Construction Monitoring \& Quality Assurance*
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship and compliance with approved drawings
- Monitor contractor performance, manpower, and resource deployment against commitments
- Witness inspections and testing; review and close out non-conformance reports
- Verify contractor compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements
*Authority Approvals \& Compliance*
- Support submissions and follow-up with the relevant UAE authorities
- Ensure all works comply with local building regulations, codes, and permit conditions
*Cost Control \& Procurement Support*
- Review contractor payment applications and verify quantities executed on site
- Assess variation claims and provide technical input on entitlement and valuation
- Support material selection, sample approvals, and long-lead item tracking
*Reporting \& Handover*
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management
- Attend and record site and coordination meetings with consultants and contractors
- Manage snagging and de-snagging through to completion
- Verify as-built drawings, warranties, O\&M manuals, and commissioning records prior to handover
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of construction experience, including at least 3 years in a real estate development company or developer-side role in the UAE
- Working knowledge of UAE building regulations and authority approval processes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, 3ds Max, BIM processes, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
- Valid UAE driving licence is a must, given site visit requirements
- Confident communicator, able to hold contractors and consultants to account
Working details
Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, based at our office in Deira.
