Job Description
**Role Overview**
A major midstream operator is seeking a
**Project Engineer**
to support a long‑duration capital program involving
**facility upgrades and associated infrastructure**
. The Project Engineer will work
**directly alongside a Project Manager**
, owning the
**technical coordination, engineering deliverables, and interface management**
required to advance the project from design through execution.
This role is ideal for a
**10–15 year EPC/EPCM‑experienced engineer**
who understands how engineering contractors operate, can challenge design assumptions, and can coordinate across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Engineering Coordination**
* Review, track, and coordinate engineering deliverables across multiple disciplines
* Support design reviews, technical queries, and readiness for IFC packages
* Ensure engineering aligns with scope, standards, and operational requirements
* Provide technical input during design development and issue resolution
**Interface \& Stakeholder Management**
* Act as a central technical contact between engineering contractors, internal teams, and operations
* Maintain interface logs, action items, and cross‑functional alignment
* Support integration of new infrastructure into existing facilities
**Project Execution Support**
* Assist the Project Manager with schedule inputs, risk identification, and change impacts
* Participate in constructability reviews and execution planning
* Support field teams with technical clarification during construction
* Ensure engineering deliverables support safe, efficient execution
**Technical Problem Solving**
* Validate engineering assumptions and challenge design decisions where required
* Coordinate discipline inputs to resolve design gaps or conflicts
* Support readiness for commissioning and handover
**Qualifications**
* **10–15 years**
of experience in project engineering within EPC/EPCM or owner‑operator environments
* Strong understanding of
**engineering workflows, deliverables, and discipline coordination**
* Experience with
**facility projects, brownfield upgrades, or midstream infrastructure**
* Proven ability to manage
**interfaces**
across engineering, operations, construction, and supply chain
* Professional Engineer (P.Eng)
* Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
**Ideal Candidate Profile**
* Comfortable working beside a PM and owning the
**technical side**
of project delivery
* Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to challenge EPC deliverables
* Experienced in coordinating multi‑discipline engineering teams
* Able to manage ambiguity and drive clarity across stakeholders
* Execution‑minded, detail‑oriented, and proactive
