Job Description
Adecco is currently hiring a full\-time **Project Engineer – Oil \& Energy** to join a dynamic team supporting high‑impact engineering and c **apital projects in Nanticoke, ON.** In this role, you’ll be actively involved in bringing projects to life—supporting engineering design evaluations, coordinating key project management activities, and contributing technical expertise across multiple project phases. Working closely with experienced leaders, internal teams, and external contractors, you’ll help drive compliance, cost control, scheduling, and quality while gaining hands‑on exposure in a fast‑paced energy environment. * **Pay Rate:** $70 \- $74/hour * **Location:** Nanticoke, ON * **Shift:** Monday – Friday \| 8 hours a day * **Job type:** long term contract \| Full\-time **Responsibilities:** **Engineering \& Project Execution** * Perform engineering design evaluations in accordance with project specifications, standards, and procedures * Support execution of project work within defined budget and schedule constraints * Review production, malfunction, and maintenance reports to identify issues and support corrective actions * Ensure accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance of engineering data and documentation **Procurement \& Front‑End Planning** * Participate in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluations, and contractor selection * Support identification and sourcing of long‑lead equipment, coordinating with FEED contractors until equipment handover * Coordinate the development of client deliverables **Coordination \& Change Management** * Coordinate development of the Functional Interaction Plan * Support the project issue resolution and change management processes * Coordinate change requests and endorse change authorizations * Serve as an interface between the Project Team and Contractors to ensure alignment **Project Management Systems \& Team Support** * Ensure assigned scope of work aligns with overall Project Objectives * Engage project teams and functional resources to confirm design and construction compliance with specifications and standards * Lead and support the Project Management Team (PMT) in applying project management systems and tools * Support smooth transitions between project phases and milestones **Qualifications and Skills:** * Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (required) * Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience across multiple assignments in engineering, construction, and project management or controls. * Proven experience in the Oil \& Energy, construction, or heavy industrial sectors supporting large‑scale capital projects is required. * Broad, multi‑disciplinary skill set gained through varied project roles * Strong knowledge of engineering design standards, specifications, and work processes * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) * Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English * Strong organizational, coordination, planning, and interface management skills * Effective leadership, influencing, and interpersonal abilities * Ability to work under tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and high workloads * Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on compliance, accuracy, and quality * Comfortable working under established guidelines and direct supervision * Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada Are you interested in this position?
