Job Description
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a
**Project Approvals Engineer**
to manage all regulatory approvals, permits, and NOCs (No Objection Certificates) required for construction projects. The role involves
**coordinating with government authorities**
, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and supporting project teams to avoid delays due to pending approvals.
This position is ideal for professionals with experience in
**project permitting, authority liaison, and regulatory compliance**
within the UAE construction industry.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**1\. Project Approvals \& Permits**
* Prepare, review, and submit applications for NOCs, permits, and approvals from relevant government authorities.
* Ensure all submissions are complete, accurate, and compliant with UAE laws and regulations.
* Track approval progress and follow up with authorities to avoid project delays.
**2\. Coordination with Authorities**
* Act as the primary contact for municipalities, civil defense, electricity \& water departments, and other relevant authorities.
* Address feedback, comments, or additional requirements from authorities efficiently.
**3\. Compliance \& Documentation**
* Review project designs, drawings, and plans to ensure regulatory compliance prior to submission.
* Maintain proper records of all NOCs, permits, approvals, and correspondence.
* Monitor validity and renewal of permits throughout the project lifecycle.
**4\. Support to Project Teams**
* Advise project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders on regulatory requirements and approvals.
* Assist in implementing changes or modifications requested by authorities.
**5\. Reporting \& Monitoring**
* Prepare periodic reports on project approvals, NOCs, and permits for management and project teams.
* Monitor timelines to ensure all approvals are obtained in time to avoid project disruptions.
**Qualifications \& Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Minimum 2–5 years of experience in UAE construction projects handling permits, approvals, or NOCs.
* Strong knowledge of UAE municipal, civil defense, electricity, water, and other regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
* Detail\-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Proficient in MS Office and project documentation tools.
