Primary Teacher

**Reports to:** Phase Lead **Contract:** Permanent, Full time **The Ideal Candidate Will Be** * An individual with the commitment to driving standards and ensuring every child is challenged to achieve their maximum potential * A teacher with experience of raising attainment of all pupils in a challenging classroom environment * Someone who is committed to developing their own teaching practice in a supportive team environment * A professional who is able to work in partnership with parents and other stakeholders * An excellent communicator who enjoys working as part of a team **Key Responsibilities** * Plan and teach well\-structured, differentiated lessons that are aligned to the agreed curriculum and cultivate every student’s intellectual curiosity * Use regular assessments to set targets for students, monitor student progress and respond accordingly to the results of such monitoring * Maintain regular and productive communication with pupils, parents and carers, to report on progress, sanctions and rewards and all other communications * Provide or contribute to oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual pupils and groups of pupils **Knowledge \& Skills** * Demonstrable commitment to raising attainment of all students in a challenging classroom environment * Excellent understanding of both subject and general teaching pedagogy * Knowledge of the national primary education system, the primary curriculum, particularly the English and maths programme of study * Awareness of keeping children safe, noticing safeguarding and welfare concerns **Qualification Criteria** * Qualified to degree level or above * Hold qualified teacher status (QTS) * Right to work in the U.K.
