Pressure Testing Engineer

**Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced **Pressure Testing Engineer** to lead the design and execution of performance validation initiatives for our platform and supporting infrastructure. This role is responsible for testing system behavior under load, identifying bottlenecks, validating scalability, and assessing readiness for high\-demand usage scenarios. The focus is on non\-functional testing across application, database, queueing, caching, and infrastructure layers. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in load testing, stress testing, endurance testing, and performance analysis, with the ability to translate test findings into clear, actionable recommendations for engineering stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** * Design and execute end\-to\-end performance test strategies for platform and infrastructure environments * Develop realistic workload models based on expected usage patterns, concurrency, and transaction behavior * Conduct load, stress, spike, and endurance testing * Assess system behavior under elevated demand, including latency, throughput, error rates, queue buildup, timeouts, and degradation patterns * Identify performance bottlenecks and breaking points across application, database, messaging, caching, and infrastructure components * Validate system scalability and operational headroom under high\-load scenarios * Analyze logs, traces, metrics, and test outputs to determine root causes of performance issues * Produce structured reports documenting methodology, findings, risks, and prioritized recommendations * Work with engineering and infrastructure teams to retest and validate improvements after remediation **Required Qualifications** * Significant experience in performance testing, load testing, or scalability testing for production systems * Simulate realistic traffic in various patterns to expose system weaknesses * Strong experience designing realistic non\-functional test plans and workload models * Strong understanding of concurrency, throughput, latency, resource saturation, and queueing behavior * Experience identifying bottlenecks across multiple technical layers, including application, database, and infrastructure services * Ability to design tests that expose system limits, failure thresholds, and degradation patterns * Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to present technical findings clearly to stakeholders * Experience turning performance test findings into practical remediation guidance **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience testing distributed or cloud\-hosted systems * Familiarity with databases, asynchronous processing systems, caching layers, and messaging systems from a performance testing perspective * Experience with industry\-standard performance testing and observability tools * Experience conducting production\-readiness or scalability validation exercises * Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross\-functional technical teams **Success Measures** Success in this role will be measured by the ability to: * design credible and meaningful performance test coverage * identify real bottlenecks and system limitations before they surface in production * provide actionable findings that improve scalability and stability * help validate readiness for high\-demand traffic scenarios through evidence\-based testing
