**Practice Accountant (Operational Delivery)** **Spondoo Accountants x Gent \& Fell Accountants** 📍 Predominantly office\-based with some flexibility 💰 £36,000–£40,000 depending on experience and study stage 📚 Funded professional study support (ACCA / ICAEW / CIMA / Tax) **The Reality of the Opportunity** Most growing businesses do not struggle because they lack ambition. What it now needs is someone dependable in the middle. Someone who can strengthen: * review discipline * workflow coordination * quality control * client communication * operational consistency Particularly as the firm supports a major new outsourced finance relationship with a Premiership rugby club. This role exists to help delivery become calmer, more repeatable and less dependent on senior bottlenecks. **What You’ll Actually Be Doing** * **Monthly Management Accounts Delivery** \- producing and reviewing management accounts across multiple clients and accounting systems. * **Review \& Quality Control \- c** hecking reconciliations, spotting errors early and improving consistency before work reaches clients. * **Workflow Coordination \- h** elping coordinate workflow across junior delivery staff, mainly remotely over Teams, while keeping deadlines and priorities moving. * **Client Communication \-** Acting as a dependable day\-to\-day contact for clients and explaining financial information in plain English * **Operational Improvement \-** helping create practical procedures, checklists and working rhythms that make delivery more resilient over time. **What Kind of Person Will Thrive Here?** This probably is not the right role for someone who needs a highly structured corporate environment with everything already built. **But it could be a genuinely strong fit for someone who:** * enjoys improving messy processes rather than complaining about them * can operate calmly across competing priorities * notices where work breaks down and instinctively strengthens it * communicates clearly and practically * understands how operational discipline helps businesses scale safely * likes autonomy, accountability and visible impact Some of the strongest candidates for this role may not come from perfectly polished environments themselves.
