Planning Engineer (Civil)

Our mission is to provide high\-quality services and solutions tailored to the diverse needs of our clients worldwide **Job Summary** The Planning Engineer (Civil) will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling civil construction projects using Primavera P6, including resource loading and cost loading of project schedules. The role requires strong technical capability in schedule development, analysis, and reporting to support effective project delivery. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules in Primavera P6 in line with project scope, methodology, and contractual requirements. * Prepare and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) aligned with construction activities and milestones. * Perform resource loading (manpower, equipment, and materials) and ensure efficient allocation in project schedules. * Carry out cost loading of schedules and monitor planned vs. actual costs in coordination with the commercial team. * Establish and manage project baselines in accordance with client and contract requirements. * Conduct schedule health checks, including review of logic, constraints, float, resource levelling, and schedule integrity. * Identify and analyse the Critical Path and near\-critical activities, highlighting risks and proposing mitigation measures. * Perform schedule comparisons, including baseline vs. updated schedules and comparison between two different schedules. * Monitor project progress, analyse variances, and prepare look\-ahead schedules, recovery plans, and delay analysis. * Coordinate with site teams, project managers, and contractors to collect and validate progress and resource data. * Prepare and submit weekly and monthly planning and progress reports for management and clients. **Required Qualifications \& Experience** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. * Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Planning Engineer on civil or construction projects. * Excellent hands\-on experience with Primavera P6, including cost and resource loading. * Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project controls, and planning methodologies. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple schedules. **Preferred Skills** * Experience in PMC / EPC / infrastructure / building projects. * Knowledge of delay analysis and Extension of Time (EOT) claims. * Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
