Job Description
Title – OpenShift Developer
Location - Remote in Europe and UK
Type of Contract - Long term contract
- Daily tasks consist of design, install, develop, configure and maintain OpenShift Container platform and development services according to Achmea’s business needs.
- Responsible for operating the Openshift Platform as efficiently as possible including taking care of incidents, problems, requests, changes, capacity, etc (in short ITIL operational processes).
- Agile team as an DevOps engineer or SRE.
- Cloud systems and have the knowledge and skills to understand Cloud solutions
Responsibilities/Activities:
- Having E2E responsibility for the OpenShift landscape of our customers.
- Developing and managing operational tasks within a global team with a focus on automation, reliability, maintainability, security and customer satisfaction.
- Make use of CI/CD framework to rapidly support lifecycle management of the platform.
- Acting as L2-L3 support for incidents, problems and service requests.
- Implement and drive automation and self-healing solutions to reduce toil.
- Produce and maintain internal designs and user documentation.
- Support ITSM processes.
Job requirements:
- OpenShift or K8’s certification.
- For seniors at least 8+ years of professional experience. Mediors at least 3+ years in DevOps.
- Experience with HELM or Kustomize is mandatory
- At least experience with one of the following; Ansible, GoLang or Terraform.
- Is security minded in all activities.
- Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and toolset (i.e. Jenkins, Tekton, GitHub Actions).
- Good to have Customer Operator Build knowledge based on GoLang.
- Good to have experience with GitOps principles (ArgoCD, FluxCD).
- Good to have experienced with Monitoring and Logging (setting custom metrics for monitoring)
- Experience with Github is mandatory.
- Good to have knowledge of OpenShift patching and upgrading.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues.
- Eager to learn and adapt to a constantly changing environment.
- Understanding of Agile development, SCRUM or SRE concepts is a plus.
- Willing to run standby duty
