Observability Engineer

**Job Title:** Observability Engineer **Location:** Helsingborg, Sweden **Experience:** 10 years **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced Observability Engineer with strong expertise in Grafana and the LGTM stack to design and implement effective monitoring solutions. The role focuses on enabling teams to realize real business value through observability best practices, dashboards, and service reliability metrics. **Key Responsibilities** * Design and maintain Grafana dashboards to monitor system performance, reliability, and key KPIs. * Work with the LGTM stack (Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Mimir) for metrics, logs, and traces. * Understand observability requirements from internal consumers and translate them into effective solutions. * Support and guide teams during observability onboarding and adoption. * Define and implement Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for critical services. * Conduct knowledge sessions and provide documentation for self‑service usage. * Recommend improvements, upgrades, and integrations within the observability ecosystem. **Required Skills** * Strong understanding of Observability as a practice, beyond tool usage. * Hands\-on experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and LGTM stack components. * Experience with OpenTelemetry (Otel) and instrumentation concepts. * Proficiency in Python or scripting/automation. * Experience with Terraform and Ansible. * Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). * Good understanding of dashboard design and data visualization principles. **Nice to Have** * Experience with observability tools beyond Grafana and Splunk. * Exposure to large\-scale or cloud\-native environments. **About HCL Sweden,** HCLTech has been supercharging progress in Sweden since 2008, delivering digital transformation, cloud, engineering, and cybersecurity solutions to major Swedish and global enterprises.
