Job Description

Our client is a US-based private real estate investment firm operating within a diversified holding group. They market institutional-grade real estate and private credit opportunities to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and self-directed accredited investors — a sophisticated audience that responds to credibility and depth, not consumer-style marketing.

They are hiring two digital marketers to scale execution across SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), content optimization, and social media:

  • Marketing Manager

(3+ years, up to $10/hr) — owns digital execution end-to-end, recommends improvements, and grows into broader strategic ownership over time.

  • Marketing Specialist

(1–3 years, up to $8/hr) — executes hands-on under the Marketing Director's direction, builds craft, and contributes ideas as they grow.

Both roles report to an experienced Marketing Director who already has the overarching strategy in place and is genuinely invested in mentoring the right hires. The Marketing Director sets priorities, defines the keyword work, and shapes editorial direction. The Manager and Specialist bring the daily craft — writing, optimizing, scheduling, posting, monitoring, and reporting. An outsourced technical SEO partner handles the technical stack, so both roles focus on on-page, content, AEO, and social work where execution quality compounds.

The audience changes how the work feels. Investors deciding whether to put six or seven figures into a private fund read carefully before they commit — which means content quality, accuracy, and credibility matter more than content volume. The hires who succeed here treat every page and every post as work worth doing well, ask good questions when direction is unclear, and bring curiosity to the craft.

In your first 90 days, you will have shipped consistent content and social work across the four named platforms, optimized at least one priority page for Featured Snippets and AI answer engines, and built a weekly rhythm of performance reads from Google Search Console and SEMrush. The Manager will additionally deliver a recommendation on what to test next; the Specialist will additionally have built a working rhythm with the Marketing Director on briefs and feedback cycles.

Both roles have a clear progression path. Strong execution and judgment over time open the door to broader scope and greater ownership.

Responsibilities (Both Roles)

SEO \& AEO Execution

  • Execute on-page SEO and content optimization initiatives
  • Build on existing keyword strategies and content clusters
  • Coordinate with the outsourced technical SEO partner
  • Optimize content for AEO, including Google Featured Snippets, AI-driven search experiences (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity), and voice / conversational search
  • Use Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Moz to monitor performance and identify opportunities

Content \& Optimization

  • Create and optimize new content where needed
  • Repurpose existing content across channels
  • Ensure content aligns with SEO and AEO best practices
  • Coordinate closely with the Marketing Director on content priorities and messaging

Social Media Management

  • Execute social media activity across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Manage content creation, scheduling, and posting (currently via Feedbird)
  • Improve content quality and consistency
  • Monitor engagement and performance and recommend optimizations

Collaboration \& Growth

  • Work closely with the Marketing Director and internal stakeholders
  • Be receptive to feedback and training while progressively taking ownership
  • Contribute ideas to improve performance across channels
  • Operate with a proactive, self-starter mindset

Manager-Specific Expectations

  • Recommends improvements across SEO, AEO, content, and social based on observed performance
  • Brings options to the Marketing Director, not just questions
  • Grows into strategic ownership over 12–18 months

Specialist-Specific Expectations

  • Executes against priorities set by the Marketing Director
  • Builds craft through hands-on production and structured feedback
  • Asks good questions when direction is unclear

Requirements — Marketing Manager ($10/hr)

  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, SEO, content marketing, or social media
  • Strong, hands-on understanding of on-page SEO and content optimization
  • Working knowledge of AEO including Featured Snippets, AI-driven search, voice and conversational search
  • Hands-on use of Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Moz within the last 12 months
  • Social media management experience across at least two of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, or YouTube
  • Strong written English at a level credible to a sophisticated audience
  • Comfortable executing independently while staying tightly aligned with leadership

Requirements — Marketing Specialist ($8/hr)

  • 1–3 years of experience in digital marketing, SEO, content marketing, or social media
  • Working knowledge of on-page SEO and content optimization
  • Familiarity with AEO concepts
  • Experience with Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Moz
  • Hands-on social media posting experience on at least one of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, or YouTube
  • Strong written English with attention to detail
  • Eager to learn, adaptable, growth-oriented

Nice to Have (Either Role)

  • Background marketing for financial services, real estate, alternative investments, or any B2B audience that demands credibility
  • Familiarity with SEC Regulation D or private placement advertising rules (Manager tier especially)
  • Experience with social scheduling tools (Feedbird, Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, Sprout Social)
  • Portfolio of SEO, content, or social work with measurable outcomes
