Machine Learning Engineer

Job description:

We are looking for a mid-level consultant machine learning engineer in one of the product teams in supply chain.

Qualifications:

• Applicable working experience or Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning or related technical field.
• Solid understanding of software development principles, algorithms, data structures and design patterns.
• Deep knowledge in Python programming as well as knowledge of frameworks, other programming languages and paradigms relevant to AI/ML development.
• Solid understanding of common AI/ML algorithms and paradigms.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and MLOps.

Experience with Google cloud platform and cloud based development

Role specific skills:

• Ability to analyse, troubleshoot and resolve issues of varying complexity in existing AI/ML solutions.
• Good understanding of different phases in the AI/ML development lifecycle and ability to contribute in each of the phases.
• Understanding of different software testing methodologies and ability to suggest and implement appropriate testing procedures.
• Ability to communicate technical details, including writing user-stories, with the team and different stakeholders to maintain transparency and clarity in the work.
• Good understanding of different coding standards, best-practices and design patterns and ability to fittingly apply these to solve complex problems and enhance code maintainability and performance.
• Possess a general understanding of different technology stacks and tools as well as ability to make informed implementation decisions aligned with requirements and organisational standards.
• Ability to independently resolve technical challenges without significant assistance, while also knowing when to seek help for more efficient problem-solving.
