The Logistic Officer at LT Engineering \& Trade Service plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and smooth management of all logistics and supply chain operations. The person should hold a degree of BBA, MBA, or MS in Supply Chain Management. This position involves coordinating inventory management, shipment tracking, and procurement procedures while maintaining compliance with safety standards and company policies. The officer oversees warehouse operations using advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to optimize inventory control and order fulfillment. Accuracy in data entry and maintaining detailed records is crucial for supporting operational excellence and regulatory adherence. This role requires a deep understanding of supply chain management principles, vendor coordination, and internal auditing practices aligned with ISO 9001 quality management standards. Although this position does not involve team supervision, the Log Officer collaborates closely with multiple departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services, mitigating risks associated with logistics processes. Proficiency in MS Office and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems complements the technical skills needed to drive process improvements and maintain comprehensive documentation.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Inventory Tracking Systems to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Coordinate supply chain activities including procurement, material handling, and shipment tracking to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery.
- Oversee warehouse operations to enforce compliance with safety standards and company procedures, supporting a safe and efficient work environment.
- Perform regular internal audits to verify adherence to ISO 9001 quality management requirements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to enhance logistics planning and execution.
- Prepare and manage freight and shipping documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and documentation control standards.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to facilitate smooth procurement processes and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of logistics activities through effective document control and data entry practices.
- Support supply chain coordination by working with multiple departments to align material flow and improve process efficiency.
- Monitor compliance with procurement procedures and supplier contracts to uphold company policies and optimize costs.
