The WSA portfolio of technologies spans the full spectrum of hearing care, from distinct hearing brands and digital platforms to managed care, hearing centers and diagnostics locations. **About The Opportunity** The Legal Counsel, in coordination with the General Counsel, manages and negotiates the company’s contractual relationships, identifies and addresses potential risks and legal implications of business decisions, conducts legal research, ensures compliance with licensing requirements, and reinforces TruHearing’s strong culture of compliance and integrity. **What will you be doing?** * Review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including contracts with health plans and other payors, vendor agreements, and subcontractor/consultant agreements, and assorted other agreements, in a timely manner. * Administer the contract management process to be able to monitor the status and obligations of contractual obligations * Research and analyze laws and regulations that may create risk for or otherwise affect the company. * Identify, interpret, and advise the company regarding licensing requirements. * Assist in managing and directing outside counsel in legal research on compliance and regulatory issues. * Assist in the preparation of corporate governance documents. * Review marketing materials for accuracy, business risk, and compliance with legal requirements and company standards. * Collaborate with the business, finance, and compliance teams. * Help design, build, and improve upon legal department processes to enhance efficiency, including further development and implementation of contract processes and templates. **What skills do you need to bring?** **Role** In addition to exhibiting the TruHearing Values of **Going Beyond Together, Pioneering for Better Solutions,** and **Passion for Impact** , this role requires the following: * Influence \& Persuasion –Crafts persuasive messages and collaborates effectively to make significant impacts on the business. * Teamwork – Coaches others on how to contribute as a team and removes barriers to exceptional teamwork. * Accountability – Holds others accountable to performance, quality, policy, and behavioral standards. * Agility – Anticipates upcoming needs for change, proactively plans and communicates strategies to leverage ambiguity in positive ways and mitigate negative effects. * Quality – Sets and exemplifies quality standards for area of responsibility. * Analytical Thinking – Guides others to deeper analytical strategies and behaviors. * Negotiation – Develops new approaches, methods, or uses of negotiation. Is recognized as an expert within the organization. * Planning \& Organizing – Plans and organizes complex work with interdependencies and contingencies. * Strategic Thinking – Sees the big picture and how elements of strategy connect and influence one another in short and long\-term scenarios, drafts and executes strategic initiatives * Subject Matter Expertise – Leverages their expertise to expose opportunities and grow expertise in others. **What education or experience is required?** **Required** * Doctor of Jurisprudence from an American Bar Association (ABA) approved law school and four to six (4\-6\) years’ legal experience with an established, multi\-practice business law firm and/or in an in\-house legal role with a mid\-sized or larger business. * Practice experience in the following areas: business contracting, corporate governance, and entity formation and licensing. * Licensed and in good standing with a state Bar. **Preferred** * Experience with Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicaid contracting, regulation, and licensing. * Experience with healthcare law and employment law. * Experience with third party administrator licensing and reporting requirements. **What benefits are offered?** TruHearing offers a generous compensation and benefits package including health coverage, a fully vested 401k match, education assistance, fully paid long and short\-term disability, paid time off and paid holidays.
