**About The Opportunity**
The Legal Counsel, in coordination with the General Counsel, manages and negotiates the company’s contractual relationships, identifies and addresses potential risks and legal implications of business decisions, conducts legal research, ensures compliance with licensing requirements, and reinforces TruHearing’s strong culture of compliance and integrity.
**What will you be doing?**
* Review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including contracts with health plans and other payors, vendor agreements, and subcontractor/consultant agreements, and assorted other agreements, in a timely manner.
* Administer the contract management process to be able to monitor the status and obligations of contractual obligations
* Research and analyze laws and regulations that may create risk for or otherwise affect the company.
* Identify, interpret, and advise the company regarding licensing requirements.
* Assist in managing and directing outside counsel in legal research on compliance and regulatory issues.
* Assist in the preparation of corporate governance documents.
* Review marketing materials for accuracy, business risk, and compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
* Collaborate with the business, finance, and compliance teams.
* Help design, build, and improve upon legal department processes to enhance efficiency, including further development and implementation of contract processes and templates.

**What education or experience is required?**
**Required**
* Doctor of Jurisprudence from an American Bar Association (ABA) approved law school and four to six (4\-6\) years’ legal experience with an established, multi\-practice business law firm and/or in an in\-house legal role with a mid\-sized or larger business.
* Practice experience in the following areas: business contracting, corporate governance, and entity formation and licensing.
* Licensed and in good standing with a state Bar.
**Preferred**
* Experience with Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicaid contracting, regulation, and licensing.
* Experience with healthcare law and employment law.
* Experience with third party administrator licensing and reporting requirements.
